Monohul is a type of the boat having one hull only. Monohuls tend to sail well in all wind directions, even upwind therefore provide perfect sailing purist experience. If you do not need as much space as you have on catamaran, a monohull will be easier to manage shorthanded and cost of chartering will be cheaper too.
